8th Grade Parent Information

  1. Camp Hancock April 19 – 21.
    1. Cost $155 needs to be paid to the office by March 22, 2017 

i.Your student may sell Panther Discount cards starting in late January ($10 per card, of which $7 will go toward your child’s trip). 

ii.Drive for UR School will be March 18.  For every person you can get to test drive a vehicle at Legacy Ford in La Grande, your student will earn $10 towards Camp Hancock.

iii.We will have a dessert silent auction at this Friday’s basketball game with Elgin (1/27/17).  Send a dessert to school with your child or bring it to the school by 4:00 if you would like to participate.

                    b. If you would like to go with us to Camp Hancock as a chaperone please let me know.

                     c. If you have questions or concerns about this trip please get a hold of me sooner rather than later.

                     d. We will have an informational meeting regarding Camp on Tuesday March 21st at 6:30 PM.

   2. The Science Fair will be March 16th.  For this year’s Science Fair, 8th graders will do science demonstrations. Your student needs to be here on the 16th in order to get credit for doing his/her demonstration.  If an adult accompanies them to the fair, they will receive extra credit.

   3.  Eight grade graduation will be mid to late May and we ask parents to write a letter highlighting their son/daughter’s life – a cute story or what you admire most about your child.

  • I am married to Dan McDonald and am the mother of three (Rustin, Wade, and Anika), so most of my spare time revolves around sports and other school activities.  As a family we enjoy boating, rafting, traveling, playing games, and spending time outdoors.  I also enjoy reading, cooking and playing bridge.
